• Trial lessons have to be taken from an airport and can be taken from:

• Blackpool Airport
• Hawarden Airport, Chester

• Lessons are taken with a qualified instructor in a training helicopter (Enstrom or R22) fitted with dual controls.
• During this lesson you will be introduced to the primary flying controls and have the chance to actually pilot the helicopter yourself with 'hands-on' experience under the direction of your qualified instructor.
• The start-up and shut-down of the helicopter takes approximately 5 minutes, the rest of the time will be airborne.
• Training lessons count towards qualifying time for a helicopter private pilot's licence, should training be continued.  Block bookings can be arranged.

Important Information :

• We do not advise that a trial lesson is purchased if the recipient has never flown in a helicopter before.  Please phone for advice if required.

• A trial lesson is a once in a lifetime experience.  Unfortunately, flights do sometimes need to be cancelled in the interest of safety due to poor weather or unforeseen circumstances (e.g. helicopter serviceability / crew availability) which are out of our control.  However, it is well worth waiting for and are re-arranged if cancelled.

• In the interest of safety, there is a maximum weight limit of 16 stone.  Unfortunately a trial lesson is not suitable for individuals with certain disabilities.  Please phone for advice.

• Please note that no additional passengers may be flown on trial lessons.

• Cancelling a trial lesson within 72 hours of a flight, not turning up for a flight or arriving late, will invalidate the voucher, as aircraft cannot be re-allocated at this late stage.

• Following cancellation by the customer a refund less 25% may be issued, at the discretion of the company, on receipt of the unused ticket.
