If the gift is for a special occasion or the passenger is particularly interested in the technical / mechanical aspects of flying in a helicopter, the co-pilot seat may be worth considering. This seat is also recommended prior to taking a trial lesson.
The co-pilot seat allows the passenger to sit up front in the cockpit in the second pilot's seat adjacent to the first pilot, where they will wear a pair of headsets, be able to talk to the pilot and listen to air traffic. The pilot will also willingly explain the controls, what he is doing and why. In addition to side windows the cockpit has the additional advantage of windows in the floor and roof.
This is the ideal seat to purchase if the passenger wishes to request a specific area en route.
As this is the best seat (the co-pilot is away from the other passengers and is the only passenger able to talk to the pilot), it is priced as follows:

Unfortunately as the controls are 'live' we do in the interests of safety have to check the suitability of the person for this seat. Disabled, infirm, very elderly people or passengers over 16 stones in weight, are not normally able to occupy the co-pilot seat.
